Reynolds Catering Supplies
Reynolds Catering Supplies has selected Paragon’s market leading routing, scheduling and transportation optimization software to streamline distribution planning for its fast growing business delivering fresh and chilled foods to high street names such as Pręt A Manger and Wagamama.
Richard Calder, strategic development manager for Reynolds says that there were several reasons for choosing Paragon. "We had a number of top high street customers who requested we purchase Paragon software as part of their contracts with us," he confirms. "This, together with similar recommendations from other companies within the industry, made the decision to select Paragon an easy one."
Reynolds is using the software to ensure that routes are as efficient as possible and to help handle the large number of new customers it has secured. "We are ‘sense-checking’ our existing fixed route network using the software and then making any necessary amendments to the fixed routes, which is proving to be an easy way of improving efficiency throughout our operation," he says. "In addition, Paragon gives us an effective way of adding in the substantial levels of new business as efficiently as possible."
Paragon will also play a more strategic role in the future decision-making process of the company. "When considering opening a new DC, for example, Paragon will help us determine the most effective location and the possible savings to be made," he adds.
